Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 met on April 6<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup>, 2021. Commander Terry Locke called the meeting to order at 6:00. There were 30 members present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legionnaire Kim Smith offered the opening prayer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

READING OF THE MINUTES: Adjutant Metheny read the minutes from our March 2<\/strong>nd<\/strong><\/sup> ,2021 meeting, and approved as read.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINANCIAL REPORT: Finance Officer Donny Walters submitted the financial report and it was made part of these minutes by attachment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW MEMBERS AND GUESTS: Don Smith U.S. A.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMMITTEE REPORTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veterans Services: Cory Cummings or Malachais Gaskins were not present<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cub Scout Report: Pam Minnehan reported that a Cross-over event took place and that all Scouts advanced.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HALL MANAGER: Diane Burgess<\/strong>reported the American Red Cross used the hall collecting 32 pints of blood.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEMBERSHIP: Donny Walters gave the membership report. <\/strong>Our new quota for 2021 is <\/strong>515 <\/strong>members, <\/strong>427 <\/strong>have paid.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We still need <\/strong>88 <\/strong>and we stand at approximately <\/strong>82%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you have paid your dues. They are $50.00 for 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can be paid either on-line, by mail, or here at the Post. Our new membership year began July 1<\/strong>st<\/strong><\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SICK CALL:<\/strong>Post members on sick call are <\/strong>Don Richardson, Robert P. Norman, Jimmy Hill, William T. Wall, Bobby Harris, Donald Taylor, Kirby Howell, Frank McBride, and Wayne Roberts, Jimmy Lee, Jack Stanfill, Archie Steen Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

POST EVERLASTING: Ron Anderson 3\/21\/2021 36 years member of Post 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FLAGS FOLDED: 3\/2\/2021 Stanley Maurer, 3\/21\/2021 Gary Beard, 3Q\/25\/2021 George Nelson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Columbia Mule Day Auction will be held April 9<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup>, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW BUSINESS: Donnie Walters reported that the American Legion Baseball is a go this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boys Stated will be held this year but as an on-line program due to the statewide health conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
