Unit 19 June 2025 Minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Herbert Griffin American Legion Auxiliary met June 3, 2025 at 6:30 PM with 6 officers and 2 members present. The meeting was conducted by President Debbie Howell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Preamble to the American Legion Auxiliary were recited. The opening prayer was given by Gail Gilliam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The roll call of officers was given by Unit 19 Secretary Gail Gilliam. The motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Judy Morton and seconded by Charlotte Conners and carried on the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finance – Beth provided and explained the finances. A copy of her report is attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Americanism \u2013 Teresa Lyle reported that June 14th<\/sup> is Flag Day. Americanism Essay awards were delivered and the Field of Flags was placed and taken up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Education- Teresa delivered cookies to Riverside school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Leadership \u2013 Charlette announced that red, white and blue will be worn at the convention. Also, Charlotte installed officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Membership \u2013 Beth reported that Julie Thompson from Spring Hill would not be able to attend, and Kimberly Menos will take her place. Beth also provided a list of monetary sponsors for 2025. A total of $8,000.00 was used to send 16 girls and there is a balance of $472.56 remaining in this account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Constitution and By-Laws \u2013 Beth provided printed copies of the updated Constitution and By-Laws for review. They will be sent to department after the review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Poppy: There was $1,800 collected and Rotary donated $50.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bills for Presentation: 1. Ink x 2 (Libby\/Beth) 2.
