Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 met on December 3rd<\/sup>, 2024. Commander Diane Burgess called the meeting to order at 6:40 pm. There were 29 members present.

Chaplain Kim Smith offered the opening prayer.

READING OF THE MINUTES: Adjutant Steve Metheny read minutes from the November 5th<\/sup>, 2024; they were approved as read.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Finance Officer Jeff Parks submitted the financial report, and it was made part of these minutes by attachment.
NEW MEMBER OR GUEST: Peter Hayes.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Baseball Report: No report
Veterans Services: Service Officer Dan Pullen was not present.
MEMBERSHIP: Adjutant Steven Metheny gave the membership report. Post 19 membership quota for 2025 is 388, 287 have paid, still need 101, the post stands at 76%.
SICK CALL: Post members on sick call are Robert P. Norman, Jimmy Hill, William T. Wall, Wayne Roberts, Archie Steen Jr. and Larry Jones, Oscar Crouch, Ray Dye and Jimmy Rogers, Bill Ray, George Jones. Charles Dilahay, Calvin Cheek & Danny Staggs, Art Ankrum, Terry Locke.
POST EVERLASTING: William Thomas Wall 12-year member.
FLAGS FOLDED: November 2nd<\/sup> Virgil White; 17th<\/sup> Kenny Soloman; 21st<\/sup> William Bohannon; 22nd<\/sup> Bobby Dial Sr.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Tom Dubois was sworn in as Judge Advocate since he was absent for the July
meeting.
NEW BUSINESS: None
GOOD FOR THE LEGION: Christmas; Food and Fruit Baskets volunteers to meet at the Memorial building on the 12\/21\/24 at 8:00 am. Coffee and breakfast will be available. 34 food baskets and 14 fruit baskets to be delivered.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: TN. Department Mid-Winter Conference to be held January 11th<\/sup> & 12th<\/sup>. Registrations must be in by December 11th<\/sup>.
Post 44 Winchester will be hosting an in-person American Legion Basic Training Class for District 7, March 8th<\/sup> , 2025, if anyone is interested in attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
