Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 met on <\/strong>December 6<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup>, 2022<\/strong>. Commander Gene McShane called the meeting to order at <\/strong>6:42 pm<\/strong>. There were 28<\/strong>members<\/strong> present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaplain Kim Smith offered the opening prayer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

READING OF THE MINUTES: Adjutant, Steve Metheny read the minutes from the November 1<\/strong>st<\/strong><\/sup>, 2022, meeting and were approved as read.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINANCIAL REPORT: Finance Officer Donny Walters submitted the financial report, and it was made part of these minutes by attachment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW MEMBER OR GUEST: David Pique a 13-year member of Post 826 CA, transferring to Post 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEMBERSHIP: Adjutant Steve Metheny gave membership report. Post 19 membership quota for 2023 is 432, 302 paid, still need 130. Post stands at 71%<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SICK CALL:<\/strong>Post members on sick call are <\/strong>Don Richardson, Robert P. Norman, Jimmy Hill, William T. Wall,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Food Baskets will be delivered Saturday 12\/17\/22. A total of 38 food baskets and 10 fruit baskets are to be delivered. All Volunteers are asked to meet at the Memorial Building at 9:00 am for addresses to be handed out.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW BUSINESS: Items for the Mule Day Auction Championship will be collected at the January & February meetings. Items should be at the least $20.00. Auction will be held on March 31<\/strong>st<\/strong><\/sup>, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOOD FOR THE LEGION: Walter Szyszlo spoke on the Veterans Benefits that are available. Free National Park memberships, free printable plaque from together we serve.com. Veterans can use the Military Exchange.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Commander McShane announced TN Department Headquarters will have an open house on December 19<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup>. Address is 318 Donelson Pike Nashville TN.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Legion Post 19 Ball Caps are for sale they are $21.00 each. See Bob Stephenson after the meeting if interested.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legion Riders will be meeting at the Memorial Building the following Monday after the Legion meeting each month at 6:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
