Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 met on November 5^th , 2024. Commander Diane Burgess called the meeting to order at 6:40 pm. There were 28 members present.
Chaplain Kim Smith offered the opening prayer.
READING OF THE MINUTES: Adjutant Steve Metheny read minutes from the October 1 st , 2024, they were approved as read.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Finance Officer Jeff Parks submitted the financial report, and it was made part of these minutes by attachment.
NEW MEMBER OR GUEST: Stephen Lewis from Post 22 requested to be transferred to Post 19.

Baseball Report: No report
Veterans Services: Service Officer Dan Pullen was not present.
MEMBERSHIP: Adjutant Steven Metheny gave the membership report. Post 19 membership quota for 2025 is 388, 276 have paid, still need 112, the post stands at 71%.
SICK CALL: Post members on sick call are Robert P. Norman, Jimmy Hill, William T. Wall, Wayne Roberts, Archie Steen Jr. and Larry Jones, Oscar Crouch, Ray Dye and Jimmy Rogers, Bill Ray, George Jones. Charles Dilahay, Calvin Cheek & Danny Staggs, Art Ankrum. David Wade and Terry Locke was added.

NEW BUSINESS: Christmas; Food and Fruit Baskets volunteers to meet at the Memorial building on the 12/21/24 at 8:00 am. Coffee and breakfast will be available. Food baskets for those in need and Fruit baskets for those on the sick list.
GOOD FOR THE LEGION: Halloween Candy handout was cancelled due to weather but was handed out on
Columbia’s 1 st Friday on the square.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Flag Folding demonstrations on for the Breakfast Club Rotary will be held on Nov. 8^th and the 15^th for the Kiwana’s club.
Veterans Day breakfast to be served at the Elks Club starting at 8:00 am.
Anyone who would like to participate in the Veterans Day Parade should meet at the Post Office at 10:00 am.Vet 2 Vet will be at the Factory on Dec. 2^nd .
