June 2025 Newsletter

Our next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 308 W 7th St Columbia (Memorial Building) Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at 6:00 pm.  A meal will be served. 

Steve Lewis won the small jackpot of $20.00.

Elections were held for the 2025-2026 Post Officers Positions.  Our newly elected Officers as follows:

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Chaplain Kim Smith Announced that Blood Assurance will be holding a blood drive at the Memorial Building on 5/14/2025 from 10:00 am to 5 pm.  There will be a competition between branches of service as to who can donate the most blood. 

TN. Department Conference to be held June 14th & 15th.   Registration forms are available from Adjutant Metheny.   Members must be registered by May 12th, 2025.  

July 12th 10 am to 2 pm, Pulaski Post 60 in will be hosting an American Legion Basic Training Class. 

1st Vice Commander Michael Neulander awarded Scholarships to ROTC Cadets Maxwell Wright from Spring Hill High School and Lily Gaddes from Columbia Central High School.  Each were awarded $1K to be used towards the college of their choice.

Our Membership: Membership for 2025 began on July 1st. Dues are $50.00 and can be paid online, by mail or here at the Post at our next meeting.  2024 Dues expired on 12/31/2024.


Comments: Please carry membership applications with you. Try to recruit at least one new member this
year. Tell your friends about Post 19, Squadron 19, and Auxiliary Unit 19, and American Legion Riders. Please encourage veterans and their eligible family members to join the Post 19 American Legion family.

Commander’s Message: Special thanks to everyone that attended the May meeting. Looking forward to seeing you on June 3rd 2025, meeting that will be held at the Memorial Building beginning at 6:00 pm. A meal will be served.
