Education: We collected a few items for our donations to be given in January.
Scholarship applications need to be given out soon.
Fundraising: We will discuss possible dates for Chipotle in November.
Girls State: Charlotte continues to get reimbursement of funds from girls that left early from Girls State 2025. She is sending a letter/email to schools requesting a meeting with Junior class girls to explain Girls State. Charlotte is beginning to send out letters requesting donations.

Leadership: 1) Action Plans have been updated on the National website.
2) New National President is Pamela Ray
3) Mid-winter Conference will be in January – ALA officers are trying to get representatives from the state to come to discuss correct ways to fundraise.
Legislative:
Membership: Beth reported our goal for 2026 is 110. Department reports that we have 27 members paid. Beth sent in 13 senior members (2 online) and she is sending 11 more this week. Prizes will be given to units that have 50% or more of their goals. We are only 8 members away from that goal.
Music: “Semper Fidelis” by John Phillip Sousa was played.

UD & R:
VA & R: 1) Veterans Festival at VA on Oct. 17th. Charlotte has a game. A table, tent, and 2 chairs are provided. The following are planning to attend: Teresa Lyle, Charlotte and Mike Connors, Libby Moss, Jolene Thompson, and Gail Gilliam.
2)VA donations for Christmas will need to be sent in by Nov. 15th
3) On Nov. 8th at The Factory of Columbia will host a Veterans Celebration from 11-3. Our ladies will be having a Quilt of Valor presentation at noon.
4) Also, the Veterans Day Parade will be Nov. 11 along West 7th street.
