The Herbert Griffin American Legion Auxiliary met August 2, 2022 at 6:30 PM with 6 officers and 4
members present. Members Connie Green and Marsha Robinson were present and welcomed back. The
meeting was called to order by President Charlotte Connors and the prayer was given by Unit 19 Chaplin
Judy Morton. The Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble were recited by all members. We did not sing.
The Program for the month was Leadership. There was no program presented but as always President
Charlotte gives a Leadership report during the Leadership segment. Next month the program will be
Music and Gold Star.
The minutes prepared by Unit 19 Secretary Gail Gilliam were reported on the legionpost19.com website.
Judy Morton made the motion to accept the minutes as they appear on the Legion Post 19 website,
Beth McAdams seconded the motion and it carried on the floor.
The Financial Report was prepared by Unit 19 Treasurer Libby Moss. Judy Morton made the motion to
accept her report. Beth McAdams seconded her motion and it passed on the floor. Libby made copies
for the members.
Bills for Presentation: There were no bills presented for presentation.
Reports:
Americanism: Judy Morton reported on the dedication of the Gene Hargrove Bridge (This was brought
up at the last meeting). Gail Gilliam was also in attendance and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
