Pres – 1)Discussion was conducted about what we want our Unit to look like./ Fundraisers?
Fun get togethers to gain members? Which programs do we want to continue
focusing on?/ Discussion will continue next month
2)April 10th is Mule Day Auction – Do we want to do a Poppy table or booth? No
discussion.
3)March 28th – Middle Tn District Meeting at 11
4) March is the Legion’s birthday/ Discussion about a cake/ We’ll see if Karen Norton
will do a cake for our dinner dessert.
VP – We had a good meeting at Mid-Winter Conference/ food was good/ Disappointed in the
State representative sent to talk about fundraising/ Over $2,000 was made from
the Silent Auction for the department
Sec – Should I mail or email minutes to those that join by Zoom or that regularly come? Yes
The secretary will start emailing the minutes to Josephine, Marsha, and Kathrine and
snail mail to Debbie.
Treas: Libby motioned that the following donations be made from the Unit:
Chapel of Chaplains – $100 second by Beth McAdams/ approved by vote
POW/MIA – $100 Spring Hill Jr. ROTC – $100 Central Jr. ROTC –
$100 Culleoka Blue Knights – $100 Motion – Libby /Second:Charlotte
Connors/ Approved by Vote for the other 4 programs

Americanism: 1) Essay information will be sent out to schools within the next week.
2) Pocket Flags will be sent to Corey McNeilly and his unit, which are stationed in
Kuwait.
3) Pocket Flags will be made for anyone who can come at Joyce Johnson’s home on
Feb. 20th at 9 AM.

Gold Star/ Blue Star: Judy Morton will be giving out some Blue Star Banners in March.
Jr. Activities:
Leadership: Jolene wants to run for Department Historian. The unit voted to endorse her for
this office.
Legislative:
Membership: We have 76 members who have paid their dues (69.09% of goal)/ Need 24 to
stay large unit and 34 to meet goal/look for new members and invite
them to meetings./ Second renewal notice will be mailed from National
on Feb. 1st.
