Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 met on January 7^TH, 2025.  Commander Diane Burgess called the meeting to order at 6:39 pm.  There were 26 members present.

 Chaplain Kim Smith offered the opening prayer. 

READING OF THE MINUTES: Adjutant Steve Metheny read minutes from the December 3^rd, 2024; they were approved as read. 

FINANCIAL REPORT: Finance Officer Jeff Parks submitted the financial report, and it was made part of these minutes by attachment.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Baseball Report: No report

 Veterans Services: Service Officer Dan Pullen was not present.

MEMBERSHIP: Adjutant Steven Metheny gave the membership report.  Post 19 membership quota for 2025 is 388, 307 have paid, still need 81, the post stands at 80%.   

SICK CALL: Post members on sick call are Robert P. Norman, Jimmy Hill, William T. Wall, Wayne Roberts, Archie Steen Jr. and Larry Jones, Oscar Crouch, Ray Dye and Jimmy Rogers, Bill Ray, George Jones. Charles Dilahay, Calvin Cheek & Danny Staggs, Art Ankrum, Terry Locke.

NEW BUSINESS: Eddie Ables looking to support youth sports. 

GOOD FOR THE LEGION: Mule Day coming up April 3^rd to 6^th.  The Post will participate with the Auctioneer Contest once again. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS: TN. Department Mid-Winter Conference to be held January 11^th & 12^th.   

Post 44 Winchester will be hosting an in-person American Legion Basic Training Class for District 7, March 8^th, 2025, if anyone is interested in attending.
